What was it?
Swindon Circus festival was a one day circus and outdoor arts festival that happened on 6th May '24 in Lawn Woods, Swindon!

It was SCOAP's first "big event" and we were in shock and amazed at how popular it was!
We had shows, workshops, walkabout performances and a massive circus skills area!

The event was pay-as-you-feel. We know that everyone is in a different financial situation but everyone should be able to have a good time. From our feedback forms and chatting to people, this was massively successful. For us, this also felt like a great thing to offer but would not have been possible if we didn't have so much support from lots of different groups - see below for our supporters.

As well as the festival, we organised shows in the street in the town centre, teamed up with Swindon Harbour Project and Lower Shaw Farm Children's project for circus events and had walkabout performers in Buckhurst and town centre.

We learnt a lot from this project as a whole and from our feedback and review chats, we've got lots we want to improve on for everybody next time.

We'd particularly like to improve the pre-festival info, accessibility, workshops capacity and get more local groups involved next time.
